The Eagle UK Premiere

We talk to stars Channing Tatum, Jamie Bell, Tahar Rahim and director Kevin MacDonald on the red carpet at the UK Premiere of The Eagle in London's Leicester Square.

The film is based on the bestselling book The Eagle of the Ninth. Channing Tatum plays a roman soldier who forms an unlikely friendship with a british slave (Jamie Bell) as they set out together beyond Hardian's wall on a quest to find a lost golden Eagle statue and regain their honour and freedom.

Channing talks about the films brutal stunt work and the real life experience of being in the rain drenched Scottish highlands. he also talks about his next project which sees him team up with Jonah Hill for a big screen re-imagining of 21 Jumpstreet , based on the tv series which launched Johnny Depp's career.

Jamie talks about how his dancing and ballet training helped him handsle the films demanding stunts and reveals he had to overcome a major personal fear in order to make the film. he also talks about forthcoming work including the much anticipated Tintin movie being directed by Steven Spielberg.

'A Prophet' star Tahar Rahim plays a vicious barbarian warrior. He talks about the challanges of working with English co-stars and the freezing cold weather. He reveals he's taking a well earned break from acting after a very busy year. He also gives Channing Tatum and Jamie Bell both the thumbs up for being such great guys and a pleasure to work with.

Finally Director Kevin MacDonald (The Last King of Scotland) tells us about his childhood passion for the book and how this is definitely a full on bloody adventure made for grown ups.

The Eagle is released nationwide on March 23rd.
