Sir Alan Parker Interview

We interview acclaimed director Sir Alan Parker on the red carpet at this year's First Light Movie Awards in London. Sir Alan talks to us about the importance of encouraging and rewarding young creativer talents in the UK.

He also talks about his own considerable experience working with children. Sir Alan directed the classic children's film Bugsy Malone, which is one of few films ever made to feature a cast exclusively of young children. The prohibition era gangster musical starred a young Jodie Foster and Scott Biao has become a well established cult classic.

Sir Alan also direct movies such as Midnight Express, Angela's Ashes, Fame, The Commitments, Angel Heart and Evita.
